You’re absolutely right, and I was totally oblivious to it.
Had a massive talk today with her, and a couple other flatmates were there to guide and help us. I was in such a mess, seriously. I stopped eating and I just sat in the dark all day and night.
During the talk, I realised how out of control I had gotten. How obsessed I was with doing every little thing to ‘make her happy’, which ended up more just making things awkward for her, since she saw me as a brother.
So yeah, we’ve sorted things out. I’ve backed off. She doesn’t need me to nurture her. I can get on with my life, and let her live her own. And hey, if she ever does feel down, I will be there to help her still, as someone who’s genuinely concerned about her, not in an ‘overly attached feel I am going to die’ way.
Might delete every Tumblr post related to the incident. Nobody else needs to see that messed up crud.
